Actor Suvajit Kar bags a new project

Popular actor Suvajit Kar, who has been a part of many TV shows like ‘Mem Bou’, ‘Chirodini Ami Je Tomar’, ‘Milon Tithi’, ‘Lalkuthi’and others, has bagged a meaty project. Suvajit has joined the cast of TV show ‘Guddi’, which recently underwent a sea-change in terms of storyline and star cast. He is playing a prominent character in the show now. His character Rickbeck is a modern guy who is passionate about music and shares a good rapport with protagonists Reshmi (Shyamoupti Mudly) and Rituraj (essayed by Rano Joy Bishnu).The storyline now focuses on the new generation and their journey. It’s a new spin off that was introduced after the show underwent a time leap of 18 years.
Recently actress Oindrila Bose also joined the cast and plays a part of Rickbeck-Rituraj’s group. She plays Ayantika’s character. The initial story with which the show was launched used to revolve around a bubbly girl named Guddi, DIG of police Anuj and Shirin (played by Madhurima Basak), a school teacher. The story that had a love triangle, underwent a massive change with the sudden death of Anuj. The makers decided to give the story a completely fresh angle with the introduction of Anuj-Shirin’s son Rituraj and Guddi’s daughter Reshmi.
Meanwhile, Suvajit is happy to be a part of the popular show. In the recent past, the actor played two completely different characters in suspense thriller ‘Laalkuthi’ and family-drama ‘Uron Tubri’. In the first, he played a complete family man while in the second, his character had grey shades. Besides these, Suvajit did a number of web series including Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s Roktopolash. His performance in the series managed to catch the attention of the audience.
