Bengali actor Suman Dey is having a good time in his hometown Siliguri. He decided to go back home after the lockdown was announced. “Right after the lockdown was announced, I decided to go home. I made a reservation and took the train at night. Since my show also came to an end, I've no reason to stay back in Kolkata. When I told Maa that I am coming back, she was more than happy,” says the actor.

Suman played the lead in TV show ‘Harano Sur’, which is going to end its journey shortly and the wrap-up shoot has already been done.
Last year, too, Suman went home before the lockdown and stayed with family. His nephews eagerly wait for Suman. “I can’t explain how happy I am to spend time with my nephews. They wait for me to come home. The older one is a constant chatterbox. I play with him, make videos while the younger one mostly stays with me. They are my constant companions,” says Suman.
Meanwhile, shootings in Bengali entertainment industry are on halt owing to the lockdown amid the pandemic. Speaking about the situation, he says, “We are yet to overcome the amount of loss we had last year during the lockdown. The second wave of COVID-19 has put us in a tougher spot. While we have to curb the rapid spread of the virus, we also have to think about the people whose livelihood is at stake. For example, in our industry, most of the artists and technicians get paid only when they work. I will be paid, only if I work. In that scenario, a lot of people will be affected. I just hope everything gets back to normal soon.”
