Actor Sudip Sarkar, who has been a part of many popular soap operas including ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’, ‘Alta Phoring’, ‘Tumi Asbe Bole’, ‘Seemarekha’, ‘Gaachkouto’, to name a few, has bagged an new show. Sudip will play a meaty role in upcoming TV show ‘Phulki’.
The character Sudip would be playing in the show, which stars actors Abhishek Bose and Divyani Mondal as the lead, has grey shades. He will essay the role of male protagonist Rohit’s (played by Abhishek) family member whose presence will spice up the drama quotient in many folds.
Sudip is all excited about the soon-to-be launched project that has an ensemble star cast. The show will launch on a popular TV channel that airs daily soaps ‘Mithai’, ‘Jagaddhatri’ and others.
Upcoming show ‘Phulki’ will narrate the story of a young girl who aspires to be a boxer and male protagonist who quit boxing after a tragic incident that took his brother’s life. Besides Abhishek, Divyani and Sudip, the show also stars Kaushambi Chakraborty, Arpita Mondal, Avery Singha Roy, in meaty roles.
Known for his acting chops, Sudip is a familiar face on the Bengali small screen. Viewers have mostly seen essaying a baddie in daily soaps. His performance in ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’, ‘Seemarekha’ and others were highly appreciated by the audience. Speaking about Sudip’s recent projects, viewers have seen him in ‘Neem Phuler Modhu’. He also plays a meaty role in ‘Meyebela’, which used to feature Roopa Ganguly in the lead role until recently.
