Actor Sounak Ray bags a new TV show

Actor Sounak Ray, who became a household name after landing the lead role in Raj Chakraborty-produced period-drama ‘Kopalkundala’, is back in the action. Sounak has bagged yet another meaty project in a multi-starrer TV project. He will play a meaty role in ‘Kar Kache Koi Moner Kotha’, a multi-starrer project starring Manali Manisha Dey, Basabdatta Chatterjee, Sneha Chatterjee and others.
The reel character is much different compared to Sounak’s past project ‘Khelaghor’. In the Syed Arefin, and Swikriti Majumder starrer, he played a cop and the reel character had grey shades. However, ‘Kar Kache Koi Moner Kotha’ will feature him in a completely different avatar. The young actor will essay play a simple guy who belongs to a middle-class household. His elder brother, a teacher, gets married to protagonist Shimul (played by Manali). As the show will progress, the character played by Sounak will slowly become more like Shimul’s friend cum brother who helps her deal with the challenges at in-laws’ place.
Sounak is all excited about his new project and currently prepping up for the character he would be essaying. After ‘Khelaghor’ ended its journey, Sounak wasn’t seen in any daily soap. He did an OTT project, which starred veteran artist Paran Bandyopadhyay in a prominent role.
Meanwhile, the upcoming show ‘Kar Kache Koi Moner Kotha’ is making quite a buzz because of its star cast and interesting storyline. The show, which will bring back the nostalgia of ‘Para culture’ by exploring the emotional bonds among neighbours, will feature Kuyasha Biswas, Srijani Poddar in meaty roles besides Manali, Basabdatta and Sneha.
