Bengali television’s one of the most popular actors,
Rishi Kaushik, is set to entertain the audience in a new show. The actor has bagged the lead role in an upcoming project. The show will be based on Leena Gangopadhyay’s story and produced by her production house. Sources suggest, actress Payel De is likely to feature in this upcoming TV show.
Rishi, who has given several hit Bengali shows including ‘Ishti Kutum’, ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ and others was last seen in Parno Mittra starrer ‘Kora Pakhi’.
Ever since the show concluded,
Rishi has been giving Bengali television a miss. He kept himself busy with other projects and went to Bangladesh for the shooting of a project featuring some leading Bangladeshi actors in prominent roles. The actor also enjoyed a holiday and worked on his fitness regime in the meantime.
Now, he is gearing up for the shoot of the new project which will hit the floor soon. Sources suggest that Rishi will be seen in a completely new avatar in this upcoming daily soap. In ‘Kora Pakhi’, he played the role of a travel enthusiast named Ankur who runs a travel agency. Parno, on the other hand, played the role of a tribal girl who aspires to be a journalist. Bengali viewrs enjoyed the reel chemistry of the duo. Rishi’s project ‘Kusum Dola’, prior to ‘Kora Pakhi’ was a hit. It featured Madhumita Sarcar and Aparajita as the female leads. The show has been remade in other languages including in Hindi (as Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin), Kannada (as Marali Manasagide) and Tamil (as Nenjam Marappathillai).
