Actor Koushik Sen returns to Bengali TV

Senior artist Koushik Sen is back on the small screen. Koushik, known for his acting brilliance, will be seen in the upcoming show ‘Godhuli Alap’. The actor, who mostly stays busy with his movies, was last seen in TV show ‘Bhoomikanya’ which had an ensemble cast and had a brief run from July 2018 to January 2019.
Koushik will play the role of a famous lawyer named Arindam Roy, who fights for justice.Arindam is an idealistic man and never compromises with his ethics. Things take a different turn when much aged Arindam meets a young village belle named Nolok.
Rumours regarding a TV show based on the love story of a much-aged man and a young girl were making rounds in Tollywood. Rumours were also rife that Koushik might play the role of the male protagonist in the show. But both the makers and the actor were tight-lipped about the project. The upcoming TV show will have a strong star cast. The show will feature a new face opposite Koushik as the female lead.
Besides ‘Godhuli Alap’, Bengali television is ready to welcome two other TV shows soon. ‘Gouri Elo’, starring Biswa Bandyopadhyay and newbie Mohana Maity will be launched on February 28. On the other hand, ‘Guddi’, starring Shyamoupti Mudly, Rano Joy and Madhurima Basak in lead roles is also gearing up for its launch on the same date. The story is written by Leena Gangopadhyay and will feature Sohini Sengupta, Ambarish Bhattacharya and other popular actors in prominent roles.
