Actor Indrasish Roy gets married to longtime girlfriend Souravi

It seems to be a wedding season in Tollywood. Popular Bengali actor Indrasish Roy got married yesterday, January 15. Indrasish tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Souravi Tarafdar. Indrasish and Souravi have been dating for quite some time and decided to take the leap of faith.
It was a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony. Family and close friends of the couple attended the wedding.Many celebrities like Sourav Saha, Anindita Bose and others attended the wedding.
Indrasish started his career as an assistant director. Soon, he realised his passion for acting. TV show ‘Champion’ introduced him with the audience. He played a negative character in the show. Eventually, he fell in love and decided to work in front of the camera.
Prosenjit Chatterjee produced television show ‘Gaaner Opare’ was his first major break. Indrasish played Tintim’s character in the show. Tintin used to work in a television channel. The show was directed by late director Rituparno Ghosh. ‘Gaaner Opare’ had a strong cast which included Dipankar De, Mimi Chakraborty, Anindita Bose, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Gourav Chakraborty, Arjun Chakraborty. Indrasish made his presence felt with his realistic performance. Soon after the success of ‘Gaaner Opare’, Indrasish bagged yet another big-budgeted TV show ‘Adwitiya’, starring Sohini Sarkar opposite him.
Indrasish has also done movies. He was praised for his performance in ‘Rangmilanti’ directed by Kaushik Ganguly.
