Actor Debottam Majumder makes his debut as a singer

Bengali actor Debottam Majumder is, who is currently playing a meaty role in Trina Saha and Koushik Roy starrer ‘Khorkuto’, made his debut as a singer. He did playback for a web series. Debottam, crooned one of the songs in the upcoming web series ‘Prajapataye Namah’ and he is quite excited about the new feather on his cap.
The actor will also be seen playing a prominent role in this web series.It is a comedy-drama and director Anurag Mitra is directing the soon-to-be streamed project.
Interestingly, Debottam is a trained singer. He took talim in Indian Classical music for a long time and has always been passionate about music. Anurag was aware of his love for music and offered him the song. Debottam had a good time during the recording of the song and is excited to make his debut as a singer.
On the career front, he has been a part of Bengali television for quite some time. ‘Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti’ was his first television serial but it was ‘Keya Patar Nouko’, that helped Debottam become a household name. After the success of the show, which was very popular among the audience, Debottam was seen in a number of Bengali serials, including ‘Jol Nupur’, ‘Tumi Asbe Bole’, ‘Chokher Tara Tui’, ‘Mayar Badhon’, ‘Bajlo Tomar Alor Benu’ and others.
Currently, he has two television serials in his kitty. Besides ‘Khorkuto’, in which he is playing Riju’s role, Debottam is also a part of TV show ‘Dhulokona’ that features Indrasish Roy and Manali Manisha Dey as the lead jodi.
