Actor Abhishek Veer Sharma’s career seems to be on the right track. The actor whose last show ‘Mou Er Bari’ aired its last episode last week, has already bagged a brand new television project. He will be seen playing the lead role in ‘Sohag Chand’, a daily soap starring Anwesha Chakraborty as the female lead. The very first glimpse hinting at an ‘Ojondar golpo’ caught the attention of the Bengali audition. The first promo featured Anwesha who won a beauty pageant for plus-size models. The makers were keen on casting Abhishek after he impressed them as well as the audience as Rupam in ‘Mou Er Bari’. The Adrija Addy Roy starrer show managed to engage the viewers with its interesting storyline and the crackling chemistry between the lead pair (Abhishek and Adrija).
Anwesha, on the other hand, managed to impress the makers with her performance and bagged the female lead after outshining other artists who had appeared for the audition.
Abhishek, who is from North Bengal, made his debut with the romantic comedy ‘Saraswatir Prem’. Though the show had a brief run and concluded its journey a bit sooner than expected, Abhishek had managed to cast his spell on the audition. He didn’t have to wait long to bag his second Bengali project- ‘Mou Er Bari’. His first television show had the late actress Pallavi Dey as the female lead.
Abhishek is currently busy prepping for his new project. He will play a modern guy in the show. ‘Sohag Chand’s story will revolve around Sohag, a girl who has been rejected by many prospective grooms because of her body weight. But deep down, she wishes to meet her prince charming who will love her unconditionally.
