The entire team of Bengali period-drama ‘Netaji’ is in a celebratory mood. The show, which concluded its journey on television, will now be dubbed in Hindi. It will be aired on a leading Hindi General Entertainment Channel.
Launched in 2019, the period drama based on the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, was quite popular among the Bengali viewers and had a strong cast.
Child actor Ankit Majumder played the young age of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The young artist left the audience impressed with his realistic acting. Soon, the makers roped in actor Abhishek Bose, who played the titular role soon after the show underwent a time leap. The show earned good reviews from the viewers and scored well on the TRP charts too.
Abhishek, who was seen playing the male lead in ‘Seema Rekha’, prior to this, worked hard to play the titular role. He completely changed his look for his show and had to shave his head. He was even seen making public appearances with the same look.
The Bengali television show starred
Basabdatta Chatterjee, Dhrubajyoti Sarkar, Sriparna Roy, Saugata Bandyopadhyay, Diya Mukherjee, Rob Dey, Ashmee Ghosh, Neil Chatterjee and many other popular actors in prominent roles. Actor Debopriyo Mukherjee played the role of Mahatma Gandhi in this popular period-drama. Debopriyo worked hard on his look, body language and mannerism to play the iconic character. He was well-praised by the viewers for his performance.
