Pooja Gor has always been a pet lover and on her latest show Ek Nayi Ummeed, she has found a new pet to take care of. It is a little hummingbird that found its way on the sets and into Pooja's heart who decided to adopt it.
"In fact, I would say this little baby hummingbird has adopted me since the day I found her lonely and scared on our set and she isn't leaving my thumb," says Pooja, who has been around pets since childhood. "I have grown up having pets ever since I can remember. I have two pet dogs in my hometown, but right now all my time is dedicated to this little birdie whom I have named Smokey because of its smoke colour," says she, adding, "I don't like to cage a bird so I keep Smokey in my room with the fans switched off because she is trying to fly now, which is natural. She is so small that when we tried to feed her in a water bottle lid she kept fluttering in it so now I feed her drop by drop with an injection with the needle removed."
