The oldest nightclub in Zurich, Mascotte is an institution in itself and has played host to legends like Madonna, Arcade Fire and Tinie Tempah. In fact, it celebrated its 100th birthday in January 2016. With its glass walls, the club offers breath-taking panoramas of the lake. Who knew that dancing with a view could be a thing? The music ranges from rock and hip-hop to popular house and electronic numbers. The crowd is a good mix of young and old and the fact that this nightspot is packed even during weekdays speaks volumes about its popularity. There is a full bar serving great drinks and it is possible to reserve their lounge for a private party.

Mascotte also serves as a venue for live concerts and has been attracting visitors from all over the world since time immemorial. With an entry fee of around 15 CHF, it is not the most expensive club in the city and is good for travellers looking to explore Zurich’s nightlife on a budget. You will have to be over 21 years of age to get through the bouncers.
