The state government has already started taking the right steps in line with the mission. “We have already roped in prominent personalities like Prasoon Joshi for branding of UP. A new tag line—UP Nahi Dekha, toh India Nahi Dekha—is being promoted to woo the national and international tourists,” Rita Bahuguna Joshi, UP Tourism Minister, informed the state assembly.
Bahuguna added that the new tourism policy and a promising logo will be revealed before long.
In October 2017, Yogi Adityanath made several headlines by celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya in a grand way. This year, the UP CM is set to play Holi in Braj Bhoomi. “We have celebrated Deepawali in Ayodhya and Chitrakoot and now the government will promote Mathura by celebrating Holi in Barsana,” the minister announced.

According to news reports, the Central Government has allocated a whopping INR 500 crore for promoting spiritual and religious tourism.

“For the first time UP had become a partner state in the Surajkand mela in Haryana where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself was present. The government will also celebrate the Kumbh mela in a big way for which the logo has been released,” revealed Bahuguna.
Furthermore, the tourism department of UP has floated an informative portal for all tourists to help them chart out their itinerary properly.
Bahuguna also mentioned that around 15 cities in UP will get flight connectivity. For this, 5 MoUs have been signed. In addition, the government would launch an aircraft having 20-seater capacity, especially for tourists intending to visit the Dudhwa National Park in Terai region of UP.
