Offbeat things to do in Spiti

"This is no place for men, for the Gods must live here." Rudyard Kipling has so famously said about Spiti. A part of Lahaul & Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh, Spiti is situated in the rain shadow of the Indian Himalayas and sees little annual precipitation. The place offers a small window of opportunity to visit, as the roads are closed for 7-8 months in a year due to snow at the high passes.
