Facing the beach at the Western edge of the island on the Esplanade is a property named Hotel, which overlooks the historic jetty, Westernport Bay, French Island and the Mornington Peninsula. A beautiful casual restaurant and pub, it offers spectacular views of the beach and the sea which is probably its biggest asset. However, the food is equally good so the combination of dining on lovely food with great views is irresistible. Though the menu runs to a variety of dishes and choices, be sure to feast on freshly caught fish and prawns which are batter-fried delicately and to perfection, accompanied by assorted salads, grilled veggies, and large helping of sinfully delicious home-style fries.
