As per the reports, the Bareilly airport has been upgraded for commercial flight operations under UDAN - RCS. Reportedly, the inaugural flight had an all-woman crew.
It is expected that this will have an impact on the local economy, trade, as well as tourism.
Further, the aerial connectivity will facilitate travel for tons of visitors, pilgrims, and tourists alike who visit Bareilly for the Ala Hazrat, Nath Nagri, Shah Sharafat Miyan and Khankahe Niyazia and Zari Nagari among others.
Reports have it that as per the regional connectivity scheme, flights between Delhi and Bareilly will operate from March 8, every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
While the departing time from Bareilly will be 9 AM, the flight from Delhi will depart at 10.30 AM.
