Earlier, there were reports that the festival will not be held in September like every year, and the organisers also stated they were not sure if it can be hosted this year. However, as per the latest developments, the organisers have now decided to take the online route. Announcing the same on social media, the organisers revealed the dates for the Ziro Festival of Music 2020. The event will now be hosted virtually on November 21 and 22, thereby slashing the duration time of the festival by half.
As per their post, there will be collaboration between the British Council of India, British Council Wales, and Wales Arts International to make this virtual party possible. As of now, more details are awaited.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Ziro Festival Of Music (@zirofestival) on
The outdoor event is usually hosted on the vast expanse of lush greens in Arunachal's Ziro Valley, with four days of unlimited and unadulterated independent live music. Apart from this, the festival is also lauded for being the country’s most eco-friendly festival. To make this festival happen, even the basic infrastructure of the event is made using locally sourced material.
