Referring to this, UP Tourism Deputy Director Priti Srivastava added that the heritage museum will offer people a chance to get a glimpse into the history of Kashi, and also its rich culture and tradition.
The officials added that it would include the architecture, relics, documents, heritage, important facts of civilisations, history of ancient temples, along with others. It would be a one-of-a-kind museum that would be designed to offer a virtual experience to the visitors, and will also have an audio visual section to offer better experience to the visitors.
In terms of museums, Varanasi has the Bharat Kala Bhawan at Ramnagar Fort Museum, another one which is situated inside Ramnagar Fort on the banks of river Ganges that features artifacts from the period of Maharajas, Hastkala Sankul, which is a must-visit for sure. Then there is also a crafts museum where visitors check out the history of Kashi's handicrafts, and virtual experiential museum, exhibiting things in a new digital method.
