Fully vaccinated travellers can fly from UAE to India without RT-PCR

As per the latest travel guidelines, fully vaccinated travellers coming to India from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will no longer need to take the Covid PCR test. The UAE was added to India’s list of 108 countries, whose vaccination schedule completion certificate is recognised.

Before this, only those passengers who held vaccination certificates issued in India, were exempted from the mandatory pre-travel PCR test.

Fully vaccinated travellers can now upload their vaccination completion certificate on Air Suvidha portal. Now that the majority of people are fully vaccinated, travel to the Middle East has become easier in terms of COVID-19 related rules and regulations.


Another development taking place simultaneously is the increase in the fare from Mangaluru to Dubai. With UAE’s summer break just round the corner, it was noted that the fare is double the normal now. A number of reasons have led to this hike in airfare, the most glaring one being the hike in aviation fuel prices. Still, airlines are seeing near full capacity flights. Respite from the fare hike is nowhere in the immediate future.
