As of now, Coronavirus has not subsided and infections among the citizens of Kolkata are increasing at a steady rate. Therefore, the bi-weekly lockdown in the state will remain effective till the month. However, news has it that metro train services will start from September 8 in West Bengal. Reportedly, before resuming the metro train operations of 90 trains instead of the 288 in number, the Metro Railway will conduct a series of trials.

- September 12

- Open-air theatres are permitted to operate with precautions.
- Metro rail services can restart in a phased manner.
What’s not allowed in Unlock 4?
- Schools, colleges and other educational institutes to stay closed.
- Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks and theatres remain closed.
- Mass gatherings are prohibited.
