Travel tales of Prince Charles who carries his bed, toilet seat & paintings on trips!

Packing is one of the most vital parts of one’s travel. Of course, when it comes to visiting far off places, we generally prefer going all prepared. From medicines and adequate clothes to shoes and travel accessories, all these things are taken well care of. But, did you ever think of carrying your toilet seat, bed and paintings while planning a trip? Well, probably not!

However, Prince Charles of Wales, cannot travel without his toilet paper, toilet seat and bed! Well, kings, queens and princes can do anything they like, right?
The revelation of Prince’s travel habit was revealed by Tina Brown in her latest book The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, the Truth and the Turmoil, which was released last week.
Brown, a journalist who has been covering the British royal family from past many years, wrote about Prince Charle’s luggage for both long and short trips, which comprised of “the Prince’s orthopaedic bed, lavatory seat and Kleenex Velvet lavatory paper, plus two landscapes of the Scottish landscapes.”

In her book, she has mentioned that just a day before the journey, Prince Charles’ luggage was moved in a truck which included his bed, toilet seat, velvet toilet paper, along with painting with Scottish landscapes. Prince Charles’ personal confidante and former valet, Michael Fawcett took care of all these things.

If you thought this was it, you must also know that during his travels, Prince Charles focused keenly on the menu he was being served. He carries a list of food items that were prepared beforehand. The list also had a premixed martini drink that he used to drink in his own glass only.
Apparently, Prince Charles is not the only royal person with quirky travel habits. The Queen (Elizabeth II) also shares similar preferences when it comes to travel. She never forgets to take a slice of her favourite cake, her hot water bottle, a pint of blood (god only knows the reason) along with her own toilet paper (Royals love their toilet paper for sure!).

While we have known of weirder travel stories, this one surely packs a royal punch; right?
