Thailand aims to reopen in the month of October for vaccinated tourists

If all goes well then Thailand might reopen for fully vaccinated foreign visitors by mid-October. The government in Thailand is looking to restart its tourism industry at the right time. Thailand’s tourism sector was greatly affected by the pandemic, and restarting it will bring a glimmer of hope to numerous people who are dependent on tourism.
According to Thai Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan-ocha, those foreign travellers, and Thai citizens who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter the country without quarantine or other such restrictions.
The Prime Minister said Prayuth acknowledged that the push to re-open might create problems. "I know this decision comes with some risk because, when we open the country, there will be an increase in infections, no matter how good our precautions."
He further said that when the economic needs of the people are taken into consideration, then one can see that it is time to take that calculated risk. This decision would be reconsidered only if a serious situation develops in the coming days. Thailand had previously planned to reopen the country in January, but that did not happen as the situation at hand was still quite adverse.
Thailand is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world, and its beach parties are world renowned. In 2019, the country received almost 2 million Indian tourists, hence as you can imagine, the lockdown has been really hard on those in the tourism industry of Thailand.
