The cabinet, with its Rajasthan Tourism Trade (Facilitation and Regulation) Amendment Rules - 2021 policy, will select, train and provide license to new tourist guides. The scheme will be applicable in all urban local body regions of Rajasthan.
Given the pandemic, Rajasthan tourism has suffered a lot economically and such self-employment measures are the need of the hour.
Meanwhile, the state has seen a sudden hike in the Coronavirus numbers, and the same has prompted the government to extend night curfew timings by an hour in eight worst-affected districts which are Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Sagwada (Dungarpur) and Kushalgarh (Banswara).
The curfew hours before this were between 11 PM and 5 PM. It has to be noted that from today the curfew will be implemented from 10 PM from today. According to an official release issued on Wednesday, the markets in all the eight districts will be shut by 9 PM instead of 10 PM from today.
