Travellers going to Saudi Arabia need to be aware of a new rule that has been imposed by the Saudi government. The new rules state that foreign travellers arriving in the country need to quarantine for a week. This quarantine time shall be spent in a government-approved accommodation.
Saudi Arabia plans to reopen to international travellers on May 17. The country has decided to let Saudi nationals, flight crews, and diplomats quarantine at home if they are not fully vaccinated.
For travellers going to Saudi Arabia, your airlines will draw a contact with the government approved accommodation for quarantine. The cost of this quarantine shall be included in your airfare. So it is pretty convenient to go through the whole process.
However, it is being reported that those people who are fully vaccinated, are not required to quarantine. They do need to show their vaccine certificate in such cases. Also, it is mandatory for non-Saudi travellers to show a negative RT-PCR test result. Such a test must be taken not more than 72 hours before departure.
