St Lucia, the Carribean paradise is opening up for travellers and easing the restrictions on travel. It is being reported that those travellers who are fully vaccinated will be able to travel to the country, and enjoy other privileges.
Fully vaccinated travellers are becoming the norm the world over, with Europe leading the way for travel this summer.
Allen Chastanet, Prime Minister of St Lucia said in a press release, "For both visitors and our local residents, our commitment to safely and responsibly coexisting with COVID remains strong,”
He further said that the country has successfully and safely managed tourism since reopening it's borders in June 2020, with no need to close because of the protocols and the bubble created for visitors and frontline tourism workers.
A second dose is necessary for travellers, which should be taken at least two weeks before arrival. Of course you are required to travel with your vaccination certificate or card as proof. Also, those who are fully vaccinated, can pre-register their negative PCR test.
The country is also giving non-electronic wristbands as identification, which must be worn during the entirety of your vacation here in St Lucia.
