Ladakh to host Apricot Blossom Festival in April

Spring is a wonderful time full of beauty and divinity, and what better place than the ever-surreal Ladakh to experience this season. According to a recent social media post by the Department of Tourism, Ladakh, you can soon visit the Apricot Blossom Festival in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The festival is all set to be a visual treat for travellers, as beautiful Apricot flower blossoms are going to mesmerise you during this time. The festival is being held from April 13 to April 22, 2022.

As per the Department of Tourism, Ladakh, the theme for this year’s Apricot Blossom Festival is Chuli Mentok 2022. Apricot is popularly known as Chuli in Ladakh.
While we are all very well aware of the beautiful Cherry Blossom Festival of Japan, little did we know that Ladakh can offer a similar experience. Apricot was introduced way back in the old days when Ladakh was a popular Silk Route destination.

The festival is being held in Leh and Kargil. In Leh, you can visit the festival in Domkhar Dho, Achinathang, Skuru, and Tertsey. In Kargil, the festival is being held in Garkhone, Sanjak, and Karkichu.
