Reports have it that this rule will be applicable on all, including the fully-vaccinated, and those in possession of an RT-PCR negative certificate. As such, the fresh guidelines issued by the BMC stated that anyone deboarding at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), except those in transit, shall have to undergo RT-PCR test at the testing facility provided by the BMC.
The latest travel rule comes into effect from January 7, 2022, until further notice. It is to be noted that the region had reported 1897 COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
With this, Bhubaneswar also joins the list of states that have made strict COVID-related rules to prevent any further spread of the virus.
