According to latest reports, the railways ticket checking staff will ditch their regular black coat and white uniform henceforth, and take to wearing gloves, PPEs, and masks.
All these instructions form a portion of the guidelines for the TTE who will be on duty aboard the 100 special trains scheduled to start operations from June 1.
The typical coat and tie uniform of the TTEs has been discarded taking into account the risk of infection. The name and designation bandage will be, however, worn by them. As per the guidelines, the TTEs will be given enough masks, hand gloves, face shields, head covers, soap, and sanitiser for their safety during work hours. So much so, regular checks will be performed by the higher officials to make sure TTEs are using their safety gear properly.
