The announcement comes weeks after California decided to reopen its famous theme parks, including Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles County.
She further said that the city moves forward, they should remember that the re-openings are happening alongside holidays and spring break and that such holiday travel and gatherings have negatively affected the recovery journey in the past.
“Let's not repeat past mistakes and let's pledge to keep everyone alive until it is their turn to get vaccinated," she added.
Los Angeles Tourism launched LA Love, a campaign to celebrate the reopenings wherein they are offering deals and discounts for people to enjoy.
President and CEO of the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, Adam Burke told an online media firm, "As Los Angeles begins to safely and responsibly reopen museums, indoor dining, theme parks, and outdoor live events and spectator sports – all with appropriate capacity controls and approved health protocols – we've made it easier than ever to #StartYourComeback in L.A., whenever you're ready,"
The tourism board is offering visitors and residents to take advantage of more than a 100 special deals on hotels, restaurants and attractions to help celebrate the start of LA's comeback.
