From December 23, light showers are predicted in certain areas. Districts like Ramanagara, Chamarajanagara, Mandya, and Mysore are likely to experience rain on the first day of the forecast period. This pattern will extend to regions like Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Hassan, and Shivamogga on December 24 and 25.
In addition to the rain, there will be noticeable temperature fluctuations across the state. Coastal areas will generally experience warmer temperatures, with Honnavar and Karwar seeing highs of 33.3°C and 34.4°C, respectively. Shirali and Panambur will also record temperatures above 31°C. In contrast, inland districts such as Bidar, Vijayapura, and Bagalkot will experience a wider range of temperatures. Bagalkot recorded a high of 32°C, while Vijayapura saw a cooler low of 14°C.
Bengaluru, the state's capital, will experience relatively cooler weather. The HAL area recorded a high of 27°C and a low of 19.5°C. The KIAL and GKVK areas were slightly cooler, with temperatures ranging from 27.1°C to 16.8°C. The highest temperature recorded in the city was 27.8°C.
Northern districts of Karnataka, including Dharwad, Gadag, Kalaburagi, and Haveri, have also seen fluctuating temperatures. Dharwad reported temperatures between 29.2°C and 16.4°C, while Gadag reached a high of 30°C. Kalaburagi saw a warmer high of 33.8°C, with lows above 16°C, while Haveri displayed moderate temperatures ranging from 30.4°C to 18.1°C.
With light rain expected in some regions and dry weather in others, Karnataka's weather will feature a mix of conditions. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts, especially those planning travel or outdoor activities. While the rainfall may provide some relief from the heat in certain areas, other regions will continue to experience dry and warm conditions.
