Jaisalmer: Tourists can now pore over the Golden City from helicopters!

Tourists will now be able to enjoy helicopter rides when they visit Jaisalmer, which has been recently launched. If reports are to go by, the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has entered into an arrangement with A1 helicopter service provider for the joyrides that have been started on an experimental basis at Sam.

Minority Affairs Minister Saleh Mohammed, Minister of State for Tourism Murari Lal Meena, RTDC Chairman Dharmendra Rathore, District Collector Tina Dabi and other guests flagged the initiative recently.Referring to this, Dabi added that the tourism sector will get a new identity through the helicopter ride. She added that as of now, tourists will get to enjoy helicopter joyrides, along with parasailing and paramotoring, which will be a welcome addition to the tourist package.
Reports suggest that the helicopter joy rides have been started on an experimental basis, and that there is an ambitious scheme of linking other tourist spots to form a tourism circuit through air routes in the future.

Reportedly, tourist circuits will be created on the basis of religious, wildlife and heritage categories, so that tourists are able to visit more places in less time.
Revealing more details about the joyrides, RTDC Chairman Dharmendra Rathore added that the minimum ticket price per tourist has been fixed at INR 7,000, and 200 tourists will be able to avail this service via 40 trips every day. He also informed that the joyride will be available in two slots - 5 minutes and 15 minutes.
