Minority Affairs Minister Saleh Mohammed, Minister of State for Tourism Murari Lal Meena, RTDC Chairman Dharmendra Rathore, District Collector Tina Dabi and other guests flagged the initiative recently.
Reports suggest that the helicopter joy rides have been started on an experimental basis, and that there is an ambitious scheme of linking other tourist spots to form a tourism circuit through air routes in the future.
Reportedly, tourist circuits will be created on the basis of religious, wildlife and heritage categories, so that tourists are able to visit more places in less time.
Revealing more details about the joyrides, RTDC Chairman Dharmendra Rathore added that the minimum ticket price per tourist has been fixed at INR 7,000, and 200 tourists will be able to avail this service via 40 trips every day. He also informed that the joyride will be available in two slots - 5 minutes and 15 minutes.
