International charter flights to land in Goa soon

International tourists won’t have to fly to Mumbai and then head to Goa in the coming future. According to Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, the state will soon have international charter flights landing at Goa’s Dabolim International Airport. The Chief Minister announced this at a government function in north Goa district.
Chief Minister Sawant also said that both domestic and international travellers would be more confident to travel to Goa after the state achieves 100 percent vaccination by October 31.
The government in Goa had written to the Union Home Ministry recently, seeking permission to resume international charter flights. The Chief Minister said, "When we announce that we are a 100 percent safe vaccinated state, then national and international tourists will come here. We will complete 100 per cent vaccination by October 31.”
He further urged everyone to take the second vaccine.
Goa has always been a favourite destination among both international and domestic tourists, especially so during the end of the year. Known for its nightlife, casinos, serene destinations, and amazing Goan cuisine. The pandemic did have an adverse impact on the state, however, the vaccination drive is in full swing so that the future of tourism in the state is not harmed.
