Good news for fully vaccinated travellers. The Leh District Administration has said that fully vaccinated travellers are not required to show an RT-PCR test report in the Union Territory. According to an official order, the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department of Ladakh included this new rule to its existing order.
The order mentions, "The District Administration – Leh and Kargil will put in place a reliable and verifiable system in consultation with the Health Department for the purpose.”
If you are unvaccinated, or have only gotten one vaccine, then you are required to get an RT-PCR test done. Your test report should be negative, and must not be older than 96 hours before you arrive in Ladakh.
