This Caribbean country opens up for vaccinated international travellers

St. Kitts and Nevis, the dual-island nation in the Caribbean is has new travel rules for international travellers. Luckily for you, it has reduced travel restrictions for travellers. According to the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. The Hon. Timothy Harris, the country’s Vacation in Place period for fully vaccinated international air travellers is now reduced to three days from nine days.
The Vacation in Place period refers to the quarantine period at the travel approved hotels, where travellers have to spend the first few days upon arrival. It was once 14 days long, but now it has come down to three days. On the fourth day, travellers will be allowed to move out of the facility if the test report comes back negative.

The country has announced that its international borders are open for both air travel, and sea vessels. Non-vaccinated children under the age of 18 with parents who are fully vaccinated are welcome into the country. Such children will spend the same period of Vacation in Place as the parents.
St. Kitts and Nevis has managed to achieve a good result, thanks to its vaccination drive. At present, 69.7 percent of the adult population have received at least one dose, while 57.6 percent of the adult population is fully vaccinated.

It is important to note here that only those travellers who have been fully vaccinated are allowed to enter into the country, but exemptions are in place for citizens, and residents. Travellers must also bear in mind that covid protocols are still in place, and must be followed at all times. While the federation has opened up for foreign travellers, those from the UK, Brazil, India, and South Africa are still restricted from entering.
