Good news for travellers from India going to Turkey. You will not be required to undergo the 14-day mandatory quarantine period if you are fully vaccinated. The new rule is already in motion from September 4, according to the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi.
The Turkish authorities have said that they recognise WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine, and those approved by the Turkish government, which includes Sputnik V, Sinovac, and Pfizer Biontech. Travellers with Covishield are included. Passengers are required to show their vaccine certificate. Travellers who are below the age of 12 are currently exempted from taking the RT-PCR test, or showing a vaccine certificate upon entry.
On the other hand, Covaxin is still not approved. But once it does get approved by the WHO, then travellers with Covaxin will be able to visit Turkey.
