Disney World is giving away free trips to celebrate its 50th anniversary

On the occasion of its 50th Anniversary, Walt Disney World has decided to surprise guests with free trips to the park. The anniversary will be celebrated on October 1, 2021. For this, Disney has asked people to nominate any US resident, who they believe is a magic maker like someone who has impacted their community through generosity, kindness and charity.

Top 50 nominees will get a chance to be a part of the World's Most Magical Celebration.
Josh D'Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks Experiences and Products, said, "All of us at Disney have been inspired by the countless acts of goodwill by people across the country throughout the pandemic. These magic makers and their stories have changed us in ways we never imagined. That's why we're so proud to celebrate those who continue to make everyday magic a reality."

Besides free trips to the park, Disney will also donate $400,000 among four non-profits who served their communities during the pandemic, which are Make-A-Wish, Starlight Children's Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and The Nature Conservancy.

Disney Enchantment

The event will take people on a journey filled with adventure, wonder and empowerment. There will be music, lighting, some amazing fireworks and immersive projection.

Harmonious at EPCOT

It’s a new show that will be organised at the World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot. There will be magic, fountains and lighting. To entertain its guests, there will be new interpretations of never-heard-before classic Disney songs. It will be performed in several languages by a group of 240 artists from around the world.
