Duggardhani is a pretty village haat, located in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. The place is all over the news as it has become a hot tourist attraction these days in the valley, with the star attraction being the sumptuous local cuisine being served here by the local women.

The haat has employed 1500 local women to prepare delicious food here. Besides, the village has also become a hotspot for shoppers. Here, they are selling all kinds of traditional handicrafts, horticulture products, pickles, papads and chutneys, among others.
The prime objective of this great move is to create a platform to harness the culinary skills of homemakers and allow them to earn a livelihood. Talking about food, the place is serving a range of mouthwatering delicacies from the Dogra cuisines including makki ki roti, kheer, special Dogra dal and lassi to list a few. Providing employment to women in Kashmir is the need of the hour and this initiative of Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi administration has turned traditional (Dogra) culinary skills of women Self Help Group (SHG) members into a huge career option.

With this initiative, Reasi’s Deputy Commissioner Babila Rakwal has tried to make life better for Self Help Group Members of Naari ki Pehchaan, a cluster-level federation. The program was launched on 16th May, 2023 by District Administration Reasi along with the J&K Tourism department, J&K Rural Livelihood Mission.
