Croatian travellers can now travel to the US without a visa

Travellers from Croatia will not require a visa to travel to the United States in the near future. According to the US government, Croatia will join the countries whose people do not require a visa to enter the country. This is being done as a sign of closer economic and security ties. The United States has a Visa Waiver Program in place for citizens of certain countries.
In a joint statement, the State Department, and the Department of Homeland Security mentioned that Croatia will be the 40th country to be added to the Visa Waiver Program of the United States. The estimated date for this program to kick in for Croatians will be December 1 of this year.
According to the Visa Waiver Program, citizens of these 40 countries (now including Croatia), will be able to travel to the United States for a period of up to 90 days for tourism or business without a visa. It is however important for countries in this programme to meet certain requirements that are related to law enforcement, immigration enforcement, counterterrorism, document security, and border management.
Among the 40 countries in this Visa Waiver Program, you have South Korea, Denmark, Australia, Norway, Portugal, Greece, United Kingdom, Iceland, Sweden, Spain, and Austria, to name a few.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS Secetary, said in a statement, "I congratulate Croatia for becoming the 40th member of the VWP after having met strict requirements, and I look forward to our continued close cooperation on key priorities."
