Comic Con India set to come to Chennai for the first time ever; details inside

Being a part of Comic Con is probably every nerd’s dream! A super fun, vibrant and most-awaited celebration of pop culture event of the year, it certainly has taken India by storm. And the news here is, Comic Con India is all set to debut in Chennai and Chennaities can’t keep calm!

Comic Con India has announced its first-ever edition in Chennai, which will begin on February 17, 2024. This two-day event will bring together some of the finest international and Indian comic creators, artists and eminent personalities from the industry on one platform.
It is one event where all the geeks, comics fanatics, movie buffs and video games players come together to share their common passion. Before this, the event took place in popular cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. But Chennai is new for Comic Con.

Jatin Varma, Founder of Comic Con India, said that they are thrilled to bring Comic Con India’s First Edition to Chennai, which is a hub of art and entertainment. He further said that the city has a passionate community of pop culture enthusiasts, and that they are really excited to make it a memorable experience for them.

“We aim to recognize and celebrate the city’s significance as a hub for creativity and its immense contribution to the pop culture landscape. We are excited to provide Chennai with an unforgettable experience filled with comics, creativity, and connection, and create a platform to showcase and support the incredible talent within India,” Varma said in a statement.

After tasting success in India, Comic Con India has only expanded to major cities in the country. This expansion is a perfect example of the fact that the popularity of pop culture in India is growing manifold.
