As caravan tourism takes off in Himachal Pradesh, the Himachal Pradesh government is now looking to focus on it. Caravan tourism has become popular among travellers, especially since the pandemic, as it allows one to remain in a bubble without mingling with too many people.
The Chief Minister further said that sites with traditional Kathkuni style architecture will be linked to other tourist circuits, and Kangra’s art gallery. Himachal’s historic forts will also be developed as tourist attractions., along with various mountain biking tracks.
The state government will also spend INR 50 crore under the Nai Rahen Nai Manzilen scheme, wherein water sports in Larji and Tattapani, paragliding in Bir Billing and Chanshal, and Shiv Dham in Mandi shall be included. Moreover, the government is aiming to develop the conservation of heritage buildings, eco-tourism, water sports wellness centres, Buddhist circuits, and more in two phases.
