Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express is returning on August 7

IRCTC, or the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has now announced that the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Tejas Express will resume from August 7. The news comes at a time when the covid situation has improved in the country, but the government is opening, and restarting businesses and operations in a slow, and measured manner.
According to reports, Tejas Express will run on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. However, the operation days could be revised based on passenger demand.

Tejas Express restarting operations also means that there is the safety factor that needs to be accounted for. Hence, IRCTC will keep the safety of passengers as their utmost priority. All preparations are being made to ensure that Tejas Express can run smoothly without posing a health hazard to the public. On the other hand, the train must also meet expectations of the public, as it is one-of-a-kind.
Tejas Express is a fully air-conditioned train, which is India’s first semi-high speed locomotive. It made its inaugural run in 2017 when it ran from Mumbai to Goa in 8.5 hours. The train has four routes, and for starters, the Ahmedabad-Mumbai train is returning after the lockdown.

Passengers must bear in mind that thermal screening is a must, and all baggage needs to be disinfected before boarding. You will also have to download the Aarogya Sety app, as your status will be checked. The train will make a stop at Andheri for passengers who are headed towards the Mumbai airport.
