British man climbs Everest for the 17th time, sets record for most climbs by a non-Nepali

Kenton Cool, a famous mountaineer from the UK, has broken his own record for the most Mount Everest climbs by a non-Nepali. The man completed his 17th climb recently and set a new record. The mountaineer and guide reached the top of the world with Dorjee Gyelzen Sherpa and another friend. The sherpa himself has climbed Everest and K2 several times.

Cool’s Instagram profile has pictures from the Everest with the following caption:
“At 0130 UK time, Kenton, Richard and Dorjee Gyelzen Sherpa summited Mount Everest, with Kenton achieving his 17th summit!! Conditions on the summit push were incredibly cold, leading to multiple tech failures with the tracker/comms going down.”
As per his account, the trio were on top of Everest at 1:30 AM (British Time), which is 6:15 AM in Nepal. The 49-year-old scaled Everest for the first time in 2004. However, after coming down, the climber told a very serious thing to the world. He said that Mount Everest is losing snow and has turned more "dry and rocky" in the past year.


Speaking to a news agency, the mountaineer said, "If you go back to the early mid-2000s, there used to be a lot of snow".
It’s a serious climate change concern. As per scientists, earth’s temperature has gone up by an average of 0.74 degree Celsius in the last century. But Himalayan range has been experiencing warming above the global average.

As per reports, Nepal's average temperature has increased by 0.06 degree Celsius per year because it is between India and China. These two are the most polluted nations in the world.
Recently, Kami Rita Sherpa created a record for the highest Everest climb for the 28th time. By doing so, the Serpa has beaten his own record.
