The updated travel rule will come into effect from 1:30 PM (IST), September 1. Reports have it that the other countries include Brazil, Argentina, Ethiopia, Colombia, Iran, Indonesia, Iraq, Malaysia, Libya, Philippines, Nigeria, Sudan, Singapore, Thailand, Tanzania, the United Kingdom, Tunisia, and Vietnam.
With regard to this, the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman issued a circular informing about the list of countries from which arrival into Oman will now be allowed, and issued following guidelines for entry:
All travellers arriving in Oman will be required to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result with a QR Code that indicates that they have received both the doses of vaccine that is approved in Oman. Also, the travellers must have received the last dose not less than 14 days ahead of estimated arrival time.
All passengers arriving in Oman on long international flights (with a period of no less than 8 hours) with a pre-travel negative PCR test (within 96 hours) will be exempt from quarantine, as well as those arriving on short-haul flights with a negative Covid-19 PCR test.
Then, all residents, citizens, visa holders and all those who do not require a visa, will be allowed to enter Oman; they can get one upon arrival as per the previously established system.
