What to expect? The new roll-on roll-off vessel service will operate on the Digha Ghat - JP Ganga Path route. This is done in order to promote river tourism and so that residents and tourists can also enjoy the beauty of the Ganga river and enjoy the unique wildlife in the region.
The vessel will accommodate 300 people at a given time and will run four to five trips in a day. Those who are interested in trying river cruises can now make use of this facility as there will also be an option to hire the entire vessel for private events.
As of now, the price of the tickets have not been fixed yet, but it is expected to be nominal, something on the lines of MV Ganga Vihar (approximately INR 300 per person), which is already operational in Patna since February, 2023.
