As per the latest news reports, the 2nd edition of Zanskar Winter Sports and Tourism Festival will be held from January 28 to February 15 (tentative dates), where you can take part in snow skiing, ice climbing, yoga in snow, and many more such events. Read less
Sonam Dorjay, Sub Divisional Magistrate of Zanskar, recently held a meeting to review the arrangements for Zanskar Winter Sports and Tourism Festival (2022-23) that will be held on the said dates.
The Zanskar SDM briefed the meeting about the arrangements and requirements to ensure that the event is carried out successfully. He also informed that the event will likely be inaugurated by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports & Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur.
Related officials were also directed to ensure that all arrangements are in place with regard to the festival, such as water supply, medical facilities, tents, ambulances, boarding and lodging of participants etc.
