These monuments are known for not only showcasing India's rich cultural history, but are also known for contributing significantly to economic growth.

The programme was attended by Minister of Culture, Tourism, and DoNER, G Kishan Reddy, who highlighted the integral role of cultural heritage in shaping a nation's identity. He added that the heritage monuments are just not mere structures, and that they are the living testaments of our history, art and architecture.
Reports further add that the selection process for stakeholders will involve consultations with various parties, meticulous due diligence, and assessments of economic and developmental opportunities at each monument. Once selected, the stakeholders will be responsible for developing, providing, and maintaining amenities in categories such as hygiene, accessibility, safety, and knowledge. Also,their participation will earn them recognition as responsible and heritage-friendly entities. While the initial appointment term will span five years, there is a possibility of extension too.
Apart from these, ASI is also introducing an e-permission portal (www.asi permission portal.gov.in) to streamline the process of obtaining permissions for filming, and photography at monuments. This portal will help expedite various permissions and overcome operational and logistical challenges.
