Noida and Delhi traffic restrictions
As per reports, thousands of protestors are expected to converge on key routes, Noida authorities have issued a detailed traffic advisory to minimise disruptions. Heavy traffic congestion is expected on the arterial roads, and commuters are advised to plan their journeys wisely.Amid the ongoing protests, farmers blocked the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway beneath the Mahamaya Flyover, which brought traffic to a standstill for over a 10-km stretch. This caused significant disruptions in the area. If reports are to go by, authorities are actively negotiating with the protestors to resolve the issue and restore traffic flow on the expressway.
The Delhi and Gautam Buddh Nagar Police have set up barricades and checkpoints at all major borders, ensuring strict monitoring of vehicles entering the city. Emergency vehicles will be given priority, and a traffic helpline at 9971009001 is available for real-time assistance.
