Well, 19 passengers were shocked when they were asked to deboard their place, as the place was ‘too heavy to take off.’

The flight was scheduled to take off at around 9:45 PM, but was delayed due to the aircraft's weight and bad weather.
Then, the passengers were asked to volunteer to ‘choose to not fly,’ after which the flight finally took off at 11:30 PM.
Meanwhile, the pilot announced that with the heavy aircraft, combined with a fairly short runway in Lanzarote and unruly winds, the aircraft is too heavy at the moment to depart. He further added that the flight will not be able to take off in any way without some passengers deboarding given the wind condition and safety being their foremost priority.
Referring to this, an EasyJet spokesperson confirmed that 19 passengers on flight EZY3364 from Lanzarote to Liverpool volunteered to travel on a later flight as a result of the aircraft being over the weight limits for the weather conditions. It added that this is a routine operational decision that is in place for all airlines for safety reasons.
