This cruise from India is set to embark on the world's longest river journey!

India’s Antara Luxury River Cruises is planning to embark on the longest river journey in December 2022. It is touted as the world's longest river journey that will set off on a 51-day journey aboard the company’s Antara Ganga Vilas ship that will pass through the Ganges and Brahmaputra.
Reportedly, this ship will commence its journey from Uttar Pradesh’s Kashi, and will culminate in Dibrugarh, Assam. As per the company statement, the ship will sail through 5 states, 27 smaller rivers, and 2 countries. This journey will not only offer a fabulous opportunity to tourists to explore South Asian culture, but will also give them the opportunity to spend some time in leisure. This voyage will also offer opportunities to nature lovers, history buffs, and cultural enthusiasts, whereas there will also be hop-on and hop-off options for people who wish to travel only in particular segments.

The journey will be called The Grand Cruise, and will provide both on-site and off-site experiences every day. The itinerary will include a number of World Heritage Sites situated in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, and other places. The cruise will also enter Bangladesh, and will pass via the UNESCO-accredited Sundarbans and, before entering India, it will take its guests to various places in Bangladesh, including Barisal, Bagerhat and Dhak.
Revealing more about the itinerary, Raj Singh, Chairman of the company added that all the experiences have been personally designed and vetted by him. He also added that the historical route has also been finalised with the support, assistance and cooperation of both the Indian and Bangladesh governments, which are working together to ensure seamless travel between the two countries.
