World Tourism Day: entry to all tourist attractions made free in Visakhapatnam

Vishakhapatnam, on the occasion of World Tourism Day, has made entry to all prime tourist attractions in the city free. This year’s theme is ‘Tourism and the Digital Transformation,’ and the entire world is celebrating the Tourism Day with much enthusiasm. In addition to this, to promote tourism, Visakhapatnam District Tourism Council has also arranged for some interesting programmes to celebrate on the day.

What to expect on Tourism Day?
1) Adventure enthusiasts can avail 20% discount on scuba diving, and sea kayaking tariff at Rushikonda Beach from 9 AM to 4 PM.
2) 50% discount (on tariff) has been announced on various adventure sports at Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary from 9 AM to 4 PM.

3) 50% discount is being offered on paragliding at Kailasagiri hilltop from 12 PM to 5 PM.

4) Tourism Walk is being organised from Kali Matha Temple to YMCA from 6 AM. For this, tourists will have to report at the Vishakhapatnam Airport, railway stations, and RTC Complex. For the main event, tourists will be taken to RK Beach in the evening.
5) An exhibition is also being organised on Beach Road, which will be thrown open for the people at 4 PM.

6) Excellence awards, such as appreciation certificates, and mementoes will be given stakeholders in the tourism sector.

7) Expect some amazing cultural shows.
Moreover, the Visakhapatnam Region has received 14 state-level excellence awards in different categories, including Novotel (best five star deluxe hotel), The Park (best eco-friendly hotel), Green Park (best restaurant in hotel), and Sunray Green Spaces (best eco-friendly tourism project), to name a few.
